Desktop Engineer

The Desktop Engineer is responsible for implementing, administering, and supporting enterprise desktop management. This role supports a secure, compliant, and reliable desktop environment via policies and application delivery

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support desktop desktops from requirements through implementation and operational support.
• Manage Intune, Configuration Manager (SCCM), compliance policies, application protection policies, and desktop security controls.
• Serve as a technical resource for desktop management and tier III support issues related to Windows
• Maintain standards and governance for desktop configurations, device enrollment, application deployment, and compliance.
• Partner with Security and IAM teams on desktop compliance, Conditional Access, vulnerability remediation, and identity initiatives.
• Participate in desktop modernization, acquisition integration, device lifecycle, and digital workplace projects.
• Evaluate desktop technologies and recommend practical improvements to reliability, security, and user experience.
• Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, engineering standards, and support procedures.
• Create automation, reporting, and operational efficiencies through scripting and repeatable processes.

Engineer-Level Expectations

• Preferred 2+ Years Experience working in SCCM or Intune for Desktop Management
• Executes desktop solutions within defined standards.
• Supports technologies end-to-end through implementation and operational support.
• Contributes to architecture decisions through technical expertise and practical recommendations.
• Participates in cross-functional initiatives and project delivery.
• Serves as a reliable technical resource for desktop platforms and device management.
• Operates with ownership, documentation discipline, and appropriate escalation awareness.
