Responsibilities

We are looking for an Automation Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will support the design and implementation of automation systems, providing maintenance, troubleshooting, and support for existing machinery, equipment, and processes. Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and improve automation for safety.
  • Provide production support and solve problems.
  • Design, develop, and implement PLC/HMI-based controls and automation systems.
  • Develop documentation (User Requirements, Functional Specifications, design schematics).
  • Assist in troubleshooting, repair, and upgrade of equipment automation systems.
  • Design end-of-arm tooling and specify, purchase, install, and maintain equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members, departments, and vendors.
  • Conduct functional and factory acceptance testing, and participate in project startup and commissioning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in automation engineering or related roles.
  • Proficiency in robotics, PLC and HMI programming, low voltage controls, three-phase power distribution, vision systems, electronic sensors, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Experience with plastics injection molding equipment.
  • Domestic travel required 10% of the time.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • Proficiency in robotics, PLC and HMI programming.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Abilty to travel 25%
