Responsibilities

 

To Provide technical support to manufacturing, engineering and Sales and Marketing departments regarding quality issues. The quality tools of Pareto analysis, problem solving, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Statistical Quality Control (SQC), Design of Experiments (DOE), process mapping, Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA) and others will be used by the Quality Engineer to help solve problems and improve the company’s business.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform gauge R & R studies
  • Determines whether tests results are acceptable or not. Communicates results to plants.
  • Perform product capability studies
  • Perform basic maintenance on lab equipment
  • Analyze customer complaints and provide report
  • Perform gage calibrations
  • Analyze competitor samples and provide report
  • Prepare raw material and finish products for testing
  • Assist in developing and writing lab and quality control procedures
  • Engineering support projects as required
  • Maintain clean work area
  • Other job duties as assigned by supervisor

This position should possess the following skills/knowledge:

  • Advanced math skills
  • Good decision making skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Team working experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, etc)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Willing to travel for QA audits if required

Educational Requirements:

  • College graduate with engineering degree
  • Willing to consider additional formal training as required.

Preferred Experience:

  • Quality inspection, plastics processing

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift 50 lbs consistently
