Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Training Specialist to join our team! The Senior Training Specialist is a key member of the Order Management function, plays a pivotal role in elevating the performance and development of associates of the Order Management (OM) organization of Advanced Drainage Systems. This position supports foundational frontline training and the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of training programs in partnership with the Manager of Training and Development for OM. This role requires advanced facilitation skills, strong instructional design capabilities, and critical thinking to clarify complex processes and content. The ideal candidate is proactive, collaborative, and passionate about developing others while maintaining a high standard of quality and consistency in training design and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively contribute to the creation of new training materials and the enhancement of existing content. This includes refining instructional resources, creating and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs), and improving digital learning assets to ensure alignment with current business practices and learner needs.
  • Oversee the execution of onboarding and upskilling programs for new and tenured OM associates for a timely and relevant learner experience.
  • Serve as the training liaison to OM’s subject matter experts (SMEs) for system knowledge and procedures while supporting cross-functional initiatives and process improvements.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops, both virtually and in-person, with a focus on strategic skill development.
  • Mentor and support Training Specialists, providing guidance on facilitation techniques, curriculum design, and LMS administration.
  • Serve as an LMS administrator to manage and optimize training content within Aspire (LMS), while managing annual content reviews for accuracy, relevance, and accessibility.
  • Conduct post training evaluations and report findings to leadership to measure continuous improvement of the training program.
  • Support department transformation initiatives, including change management and skill building efforts.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development across the Order Management team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in training or instructional design within a customer service or order management environment.
  • Experience mentoring or leading others, preferably in a training environment.
  • Familiarity with performance metrics and quality assurance in a service-oriented department.

Skills & Competencies:

  • 5+ years of advanced facilitation skills leading virtual and in-person training sessions.
  • Extensive experience using engaging training techniques for maximum classroom participation.
  • Strong technical skills in virtual training platforms such as TEAMS or Zoom.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and support remote connectivity issues.
  • 3+ years of program management experience with scheduling, promoting, conducting, and evaluating course content and delivery for optimal results.
  • Strong instructional design capabilities, including creation of job aids, SOPs, and multimedia content.
  • Proven project history using the ADDIE process.
  • Work with instructional design platforms such as Camtasia, Articulate, or Rise 360.
  • Proficiency in LMS administration and content management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to simplify and explain complex processes.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
