Responsibilities

We are looking for a Plant Accountant to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial reporting, payroll, and HR administrative functions at the plant level. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial data, supporting employee administration, and maintaining compliance with company policies. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and report on general accounting activities, including payroll, accounts payable, and general ledger reconciliations
  • Manage payroll processing, including overtime, benefits, and tax reporting using ADP and E-Time systems
  • Record financial transactions and prepare accrual entries for payroll, freight, and capital expenditures
  • Oversee purchase order processes and cash/check transactions
  • Maintain personnel files and administer employee benefits, vacation, and attendance tracking
  • Support onboarding and new employee processing
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and report unsafe conditions or incidents
  • Participate in company training programs to enhance job skills
  • Uphold ADS Core Values in all aspects of work

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred
  • 2–3 years of general business or office experience
  • Prior experience in HR or administrative roles preferred

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail with minimal data entry errors
  • Effective proofreading and mathematical skills
  • Ability to manage multi-line phone systems and perform 10-key calculations
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Manual dexterity to operate computer equipment
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks such as typing and phone use
