Responsibilities

We are looking for an Ag Market Director to join our team! In this role, you will maximize the profitability and growth of the ADS Ag business through a deep understanding of market and customer needs and insights. You will define and lead short- and long-term strategies based on market and farming economy knowledge. Key Responsibilities

  • Define, lead, and implement a 5-year growth strategy for a $200 million Ag portfolio, partnering with Sales on execution.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the Ag channel, with deep understanding of customer needs, product mix, competition, distribution, and industry trends.
  • Determine appropriate brand, public relations, and marketing tactics for the Ag channel.
  • Lead customer and competitor intelligence efforts, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Support budget strategy for the global Ag channel across the US, Canada, and international markets.
  • Collaborate with product management to increase allied product attachment.
  • Lead pricing strategy and manage global product pricing trends and competitive database.
  • Ensure alignment between product strategies and marketing plans and daily execution.
  • Partner with Sales to implement programs that drive growth.
  • Oversee market research, intelligence gathering, and forecasting.
  • Work with product management and engineering to determine optimal product mix.
  • Lead business case analysis for new products and services in collaboration with R&D, Purchasing, and Operations.
  • Facilitate Market Review meetings with Sales, R&D, Purchasing, and Finance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • MBA preferred
  • 10–15 years of experience in agriculture or a related industry preferred
  • Experience establishing business goals and strategies preferred
  • Experience managing direct reports preferred

Skills & Competencies

  • Ag market knowledge
  • Strong business acumen across sales, finance, and operations
  • Project management and product launch experience
  • Excellent presentation and global/multi-discipline communication skills
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Successful negotiation skills
