Responsibilities

Our internship program is designed to cultivate the professional growth of students through a dynamic work environment. Over the course of 12 weeks, you will work on meaningful projects and have opportunities to learn from industry leaders. You will work with our corporate team and our operations teams, which will give you a great overview of EHS at different levels of an organization. We are committed to your development but will also rely on you to bring new knowledge, new ideas and innovation into our organization.

 

What you’ll do in this role:

Corporate

  • Standard operating procedure standardization and organization
  • Creation and organization of EHS training and documentation
  • Help create EHS awareness/connectivity via use of digital EHS platforms
  • Assist with data analysis as part of the EHS audit program
  • Assist EHS team with projects aimed at compliance assurance, incident reduction, and program consistency between sites
  • Policy and training program development: the intern will assist with development of a safety policy and training program based on an OSHA regulation

 

Operations

  • Assist with environmental data collection, consolidation, and report preparation.
  • Evaluating hazards, exposures, and general impacts associated with operation of process equipment, facilities and projects
  • Participating in incident investigations, field audits, and other incident causation and prevention activities
  • Participating in emergency planning and response activities

 

 

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college, university or trade school.
  • Possess strong analytical and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication.
  • Prioritize collaboration and problem solving.
  • Manage multiple tasks and is detailed-oriented.
  • Have prior internship experience (preferred but not required).
