Responsibilities

We are seeking a Regional Quality Manager (RQM) to lead and manage a team of Quality Specialists within the region. The RQM will implement quality methods and protocols in accordance with ADS standards and customer requirements, ensuring compliance and fostering a zero-audit culture. This role requires excellent leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with plant leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage company, AASHTO, ASTM, and CSA quality standards.
  • Lead and manage QA labs and Quality Specialists' performance.
  • Provide technical support for manufacturing and shipping issues using quality tools like Pareto Analysis and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Create and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions.
  • Conduct Process Capability Studies and collaborate with Plant Leadership Teams to improve reliability.
  • Ensure 6S standards are maintained in quality operations.
  • Participate in Kaizen Events and implement quality-related daily management.
  • Travel up to 50% to support and evaluate Quality Specialists and plant leadership teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing/quality management.
  • Prior management experience.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Proficiency in statistics and problem-solving.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Competency in MS Office and Minitab.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with calibration programs.
  • Mechanical aptitude.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Ability to work in an office setting and adapt to plant climate conditions.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work safely around plant equipment.
