Responsibilities

We are looking for a Regional Controller to join our team! In this role, you will manage accounting, reporting/analysis, operational management, and SOX compliance for five plants in the Northeast Region. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with corporate and local teams on strategic business initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate cycle count and year-end physical count procedures with plant management.
  • Review monthly P/L reports to identify trends and corrective actions.
  • Verify accuracy of general ledger and compliance to policy through open purchase order reports.
  • Maintain accurate fixed asset information with plant management.
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations and investigate variances.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries for plant accruals and cross charges.
  • Assist in preparing internal and external reports.
  • Provide insights with ad-hoc analysis across various business functions.
  • Support process improvements and automation efforts.
  • Ensure SOX compliance by adhering to internal control requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of practical work experience (manufacturing plant experience).
  • Ability to travel up to 25-50% to regional plants and occasionally to corporate offices in Ohio.
  • Oracle experience preferred.

  • Strong technical skills, including knowledge of GAAP.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to understand issues, demonstrate resourcefulness, and resolve problems proactively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information maturely.
  • Solid organizational skills, including task prioritization and time management.
  • Mid- to advanced PC skills using Outlook, Word, Excel (pivots, V-lookups, etc.).
