Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly organized International Customer Service Representative to manage and coordinate the export of goods and services for ADS. This position involves liaising with international clients, shipping companies, customs brokers, and government agencies to ensure smooth and efficient export operations. As well as answering customer inquiries, resolving issues, and processing orders. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented and be able to multi-task in a demanding, remote work environment while maintaining professionalism and efficiency. This position requires a highly motivated virtual team player with strong self-management who is willing to go above and beyond while demonstrating a strong problem-solving mindset.

 

Job Responsibilities included but not limited to:

  • Export Documentation Management: Prepare and review all necessary export documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, and certificates of origin to ensure compliance with international trade laws and company policies.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate shipping arrangements and work closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Customer Service: Serve as a point of contact for international customers regarding export orders, providing information and resolving issues related to shipping, delivery times, and customs clearance.
  • Data Entry: Process orders, record and document customer interactions and transactions accurately.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a high level of product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
  • Communication: Maintain clear communication with internal teams (sales, logistics, finance) to ensure smooth processing of export transactions.
  • Risk Management: Identify and address potential risks in the export process, including delays, damages, or compliance violations.

 

Job Skills:

  • Knowledge of international shipping, customs, and export regulations preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with export documentation preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with export management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenges in export operations.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing regulations and market conditions.

 

Preferred Experience:

  • 2+ years’ experience in customer service.
  • 1+ years’ experience in export documentation.
