Responsibilities

Purchase recycled material to meet demand for recycled materials with consideration of overall cost (price, quality, and delivery).  Works closely with category management, production management, freight management, scheduling, and other functions/ stakeholders to ensure best delivery time, quality, and cost, and ensures the highest level of service is provided to internal customers.

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Procure recycled plastics from MRFs, brokers, recycled pellets compounders and end-users, with consideration to total landed cost.
  • Address quality issues and corrective actions working with ADS plants and suppliers.
  • Manage recycled material inventory to meet production requirements.
  • Support Recycled Materials Category Strategy.
  • Establish forecast for purchased pounds and dollars.
  • Keep frequent and good dialogue with suppliers, maintain and improve supplier relationships
  • Communicate with plants regarding scheduled changes, delivery issues, quality, etc.
  • Generate Cost Savings
  • Identify and onboard new suppliers.
  • Negotiate price and delivery for recycled materials
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets (Forecasts, Material On-hand & On-Order Reports, etc).

 Educational Requirements:

 Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years+ equivalent experience

 Preferred Experience:

  • Procurement and Supply Chain Management
  • Recycled Plastics Industry

 Physical Requirements:

Employee will be sitting for a specified amount of time and must have the ability to sit at a minimum for 8 hours 

Ability to travel as needed
